DTMF

DTMF (Dual Tone Multi-Frequency) signaling is used for digital dialing and control functions in telephone systems.

How to use DTMF

Set the DTMF trigger code on i86V, when the phone is talking with it, press the feature code “1234” to trigger the i86’s output port to enable, you can realize the DTMF remote door opening, alarm light triggering and other operations.

Tips：You need to confirm the DTMF mode of both devices is the same, and the extension type of the registered SIP server is also the same DTMF mode. (Generally the default is RFC2833)



Configuring DTMF

  1. Login to the Web
  2. Open the Device->Security Settings->Output Port Settings.
  3. DTMF Trigger -> Select on, fill in the trigger code (default is 1234).
  4. Select the reset mode of the output port of the device according to the need
    (According to the call time, according to the duration)
  5. Click Save.
Parameter Value Description
DTMF Trigger On, Off Default On, support to trigger the output port of intercom device via DTMF during a call.
Trigger Code Default 1234 Customizable trigger code
Reset Code Default 4321 Customizable reset code.
Reset mode By call status, by duration By call status: when the call ends, the intercom output will be restored.
By duration: the input port resumes after a continuous output time.
